A big part of my twitter style is a variation of “praise publicly, criticise privately” - ie I use quote-tweets to say “yes, this!! and also,”

Over time this introduces kind friendly nerds to other kind friendly nerds and 99% of the time works out great.
Eg
All of this is in service of making friends, creating a nourishing and supportive commons where kind friends can meet other kind friends, and it’s also just intrinsically a wholesome and pleasurable thing to do

One interesting personal definition of adulthood I’ve been toying with is: it’s when you reach a stage in your decision-making where you determine (and decide) that it’s better to decide than to not decide
When I was a teenager I think I was correct in determining that it was generally better not to decide, bc I couldn’t trust my decision-making

But once you cross a certain threshold of experience and understanding, this ceases to be true

[this only? applies to decision-avoiders]
Are there people who confidently make decisions from a young age? There must surely be. I imagine there is a different threshold for them to cross - maybe an inverse version, where adulthood is understanding when you *don’t* have to decide

IMO optimizing for high-quality mentions is the real game worth playing

this means sometimes telling off or even blocking people who are unkind, even if they are smart, because they drive away other people who are tentative, uncertain, etc

The truth is, the household fallacy has been weaponised for purely political ends: to prevent progressive spending policy from gaining legitimacy. Its apparently instinctive logic disguises the truth– what is true for an individual household is not true for the government.
By cutting its spending the government also ends up reducing its own income. So unlike a household, government spending and income are not independent of one another - reductions in government spending when economy is under performing leads to higher debt and lower growth.

The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.

I did something similar to this 5 years ago, in anticipation of EC & @theroots' Wise Up Ghost LP, on tumblr.

(You can still find all those posts if you look, although a lot of the YouTube links etc are now dead ends. It was 40 Days Of EC then, so for 2018 I'm upping it to 45.)
Mostly I will be going chronologically from the early years right up to the present, but it feels right to start out with Costello's 2002 song, "45."
