1. DAG Rod Rosenstein.

I hope that history remembers him, and he deserves a medal.
2. Rod Rosenstein’s time at the DOJ is coming to a close. In his own words, “much later than expected”.

He, like new Attorney General Bill Barr, is a legal genius. I compared him to a bomb defusal expert - somebody who understands how to plan for every possible angle of attack.
3. We see that tactic pay off every day. Every time the now Democrat-controlled house tries to strong arm the DOJ, his management will pay dividends.

And he is reviled by narrative-munchers for it.
4. DAG Rosenstein gave a speech yesterday at his Alma Mater, the Wharton School (who else do we know who went there?)

justice.gov/opa/speech/dep…

If you haven’t read it, I strongly suggest doing so.
5. There is no deep state rat who says words like these. When’s the last time Andrew McCabe mentioned the framers, or even the constitution? Has John Brennan ever discussed Benjamin Franklin’s plea to keep the republic representative?

*crickets*
6. My followers will likely have seen this, but here’s the President two months ago lauding Rod Rosenstein.

“He’s entitled to a far better location”.

Why would President Trump say this to an enemy?
7. Those who buy into the “Deep State Rosenstein” narrative on the Right Wing claim that Trump cannot fire Rosenstein for political reasons.

BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN TRUMP HAS TO *LIKE* HIM.

Yet Trump clearly does.

????
8. As always, narrative-munchers are unable to process details.

They will not watch this clip. They will not read RR’s speeches or watch his interviews. They’ll just parrot fatface talking points because it makes them feel like they know what’s going on.
9. I myself fell into this trap regarding new AG Bill Barr. To a much lesser extent, but the same mental knot nonetheless.

Unlike the narrative-munchers though, I actively sought to remedy my ignorance - and watched Barr’s full Senate confirmation hearing.
10. I came out of it respecting the man 100%, and marveling again at Trump’s ability to hire for the job required.
11. Trump needed a policy AG, so he hired a senator.

Now, in this phase, Trump needs a legal expert AG, so he hired a semi-retired former AG with no puppet strings and no future career aspirations.

Exactly the type of guy who can clean things up without any qualms.

Fancy that.
12. AG Bill Barr has been friends with Robert Mueller for 30 years.

He has met with DAG Rod Rosenstein several times to give advice during Rosenstein’s tenure at the department.
13. But ohhhhh no, the deep state coup continues and Trump’s DOJ works nonstop against his administration and the republic as a whole.

Trump just keeps accidentally hiring enemies to put them in incredibly dangerous positions. Such a dummy!
14. I haven’t been threading the way I used to because the information space has become so chaotic that analysis is almost impossible.

There is a ton of behind the scenes information floating around as well - storylines about Felix Sater, Michael Cohen, Oleg Deripaska, etc.
15. All impenetrably opaque to a Joe public plebeian with a smartphone and Google such as myself.

But I’m smart enough to recognize who is worth trusting and who isn’t.

And it sure as fuck ain’t the self-interested narrative engineers.
