Political parties often share newspaper articles to back up their argument - they'll share the article as proof of a problem or to argue the analysis in article shows they are right. The Liberals working with Murdoch media have taken such 'news' campaigning to a whole new level.
I know you try not to look too hard at the Liberal Party twitter feed so I've done it for you. Have a look at these memes to see the close interplay between @Australian news headlines and Liberal Party memes.
The once-trusted Australian newspaper's logo and the bold, authoritative news headline print is used by Liberals to legitimise their political attack. Many Australian readers still don't understand what this newspaper has become, and Liberals take advantage of that. 
Almost every attack meme the Liberal Party produces uses news headlines, mostly from the Australian, sometimes from other Murdoch or non-Murdoch newspapers. See how the newspaper headline is literally the meme headline.
Of course politically engaged tweeps know that most of these headlines are either completely false, huge over-exaggerations, Liberal lies and politically motivated, but disengaged voters don't know this.
This is evidence that the Murdoch media is so effectively campaigning against the Labor Party, their news headlines are literally used as campaign material for Liberals. The Murdoch media has given up any semblance of impartiality.
Every day, Murdoch newspapers assist the Liberals by putting Liberal campaigns into news print, framing propaganda as 'news' and thus using news media as a political weapon against Labor. The reverse never happens. This is bias writ-large.
I often wonder how on earth other journalists outside of Murdoch media take anything that is published in Murdoch media seriously when they must see for themselves what is going on here. It couldn't be more blatant than this.
And yet, my research shows that Murdoch media, particularly @Australian, still has an agenda setting role in the entire news media, which means these news headlines are not entirely dissimilar from what you will see on the ABC, Fairfax and even sometimes the Guardian.
We all know media releases are used to 'influence' news media coverage, but it's now clear that Liberal media releases in their entirety BECOME Murdoch news articles. It's impossible to know where Murdoch media ends and Liberal Party begins. They're one in the same.
The public, and the rest of the news media, have become so used to the partisan nature of Murdoch media, they have normalised this type of coverage. So we don't see what is right in front us. This is absolutely NOT NORMAL. This is NOT OK. This is democratically corrosive. End.
