This type of careful forensic investigation and privately funded conflict reporting is now completely at odds with social media models and mass audience advertising driven news-o-tainment yet critical for our understanding of the rapid changes in our world and future threats.

Difference between Russia and America is that Putin has embraced absolute deniability and self enrichment, allowing oligarchs to dodge the law. America has rule of law but knows the inertia and length of investigation allows black money, self enriching, proxies to flourish.
