Attended a terrific @the_AEMC workshop today on proposed demand response rule changes from @PIACnews @totalenv @TheAusInstitute , @energycouncilau , and @SAgovnews . Report in June, determination November. Lots to think about; more to come!

200k Victorians lost power on 25 Jan and Alcoa smelter lost power the day before. Is this normal now? What are the implications?
On a heatwave day when demand is high, supply is reduced and all other options have been exhausted - load has to be shed.
Note this has happened in only 5 cases since 2005.
These gen shortfalls are less than 1% of total power outages (mostly network probs)

 Many news sites refer to Badwan as either a protestor or a demonstrator who was shot and killed by the #IDF. The photo on the left, from the DailyMail, states Badwan is a protestor. The photo on the right from CGTN states Badwan is a protestor as well.

 The problem is Badwan wasn’t there to protest in the way most people think. This video was taken Friday afternoon at the Karni crossing where Palestinians were clashing w/ #IDF soldiers. At the end, you can see Badwan being evacuated after getting shot by the #IDF.

Dad was detained in a #Texas detention center where @RAICESTEXAS consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months. #EndFamilySeparation
The Mom and Dad now have once weekly Skype calls with their 8-month-old baby. That's right, folks. They Skype with an infant. #EndFamilySeparation #FamiliesBelongTogether
