Sincerity? Why did so many people go to London yesterday to stand and shuffle a couple of short miles over a period of 5 hours? Sincerity drove us there in coaches and cars and trains and planes.

Only a sincerely held belief can draw over a million, probably 2 million ordinary citizens from across the UK and make the statement they made to political leaders and self serving political gamers and operators.

Caring. Another word which springs to mind. We care deeply about the future of every man woman and child of this country and we came to show it.

We came from the Highlands and Islands to Lands End and everywhere in between including Northern Ireland and Wales. Some came from further still, from across our beautiful continent. We changed our plans we found a way to be there.

Ownership. Yes we were there because some people told us we weren’t allowed to feel as much ownership of our EU citizenship as our EU27 partners.

Whether you like it or not it’s become part of our make-up, our past and our future. We aren’t going to just give it up because you tell us to. Who do you think you are.

Concern. A deeply held concern for finding a way to make this brexit Shambles right. From every age group. From cleaners to chemists, from brain surgeons to bus drivers, from unemployed to self-employed.

We changed our plans we made it happen, we made our way to the capital with sincerity, with a desire to take back ownership of a part of our identities we didn’t even know we valued and

with concern for our friends, our families, our EU27 neighbours and fellow citizens, our jobs, our businesses and our children and grandchildren.

Only deeply held sincere views can get 2 million ordinary citizens out on the streets, an act or political activism, and each person represented many more who could not be there. Parliamentarians, I hope you looked out of your windows yesterday and saw us properly at last.

I hope the toxic fog of political gaming and manoeuvring and self-interest cleared sufficiently for you to see and hear us. You have, between the nefarious and incompetent amongst you, created this mess.

You can’t fix it without continuing to damage us and our lives. We won’t ever forgive inaction. So we urge you to do what you know in your hearts is right for the people of this country.

#RevokeArticle50 and if you can’t, the answer was staring you in the face on the streets of our great capital yesterday.

Let us take back the control which was stolen by self-serving lying and deceitful billionaires and players who have falsely tried to paint those of us on the streets yesterday as elites from the luxury of their penthouses and private jets. Do what is right and #PutItToThePeople
