Ok. So-no shade to the reporter of the dog suicide bridge in Scotland story, @CeylanWrites, she seems lovely and I like her writing. My beef is with the @nytimes. While foreign agents for Turkey are attacking the rule of law in the US, Ceylan, a former Turkey correspondent, gets
resources and editorial support to write about a dog suicide bridge. Based on her being a former Turkey correspondent, seems she’d be a subject matter expert on Turkey, right? Someone who would be able to disentangle and elucidate corruption involving Turkish businesses?
And yet, nowhere in the New York Times can I find anything about this INSANE 2018 case which ties over $500 million dollars of tax fraud to the Kingston cult in Utah, Korkmaz, & Alptekin, WHO HIRED FLYNN. I wrote this last Aug, when indictment was unsealed link.medium.com/Ij2XkHZgpV
I love dogs, but I love uncorrupted democracy more. So to be clear: the @nytimes continues to refuse to inform the public about massive corruption tied to the Trump administration, while tasking a reporter who appears to be a subject matter expert on Turkey, on writing dog ghost 
stories in Scotland.
Do better @nytimes. Give people information they NEED TO KNOW to be informed citizens. Prove yourselves worthy of the First Amendment.

Coda: Korkmaz is a “close ally” of Alptekin. Alptekin was indicted alongside Flynn’s business partner, Bijan Kian, in December 2018. This is germane as hell.
