I would rather associate bearded (+Dwarf should be mentioned) & skull-cap with the Persian/Indo-Iranian Saka tigrakhaudâ (Tri means 3). Saka-tri battled Dārayavahuš (Darius) has symbolic meaning, & can also be associated w/Dwarf "vs" Elves in Nordic/Germanic-"mythology". Dwarf is 
of varied significance in India, & from where the other-cultures imbibed. Central dwarf thematic could be associated with the Vamana-Vishnu-Avatara (3-steps) & Varuna (the Bull). Vishnu is in North (mainly) & South (dwarf?), & the likes w/Shri Shukracharya (Venus/Valli). Kṛttikā
Nakshatra (3) is ruled by Sun, & Indian Zodiac of 26°40′ Aries – 10° Bull/Taurus (Venus/Saturn). Opposing sign of Krittika is Vishakha Naksatra (Libra-Scorpio exalt), or more prominently, which I think is Anuradha (Mitra: Bull-slayer/Scorpio). Indo/Iranian-Ahura Mazda is Jupiter,
while Mithras/Elves is the eye of Jupiter. Mṛgaśīrṣā (Taurus-Gemini) seems to be the Balancing-Factor (Note: My Venus is placed in Mṛgaśīrṣā), while the full-scale of "Liberalism/Freedom/Anarchism/Satisfaction" is oriented in the Ardra (Gemini or Rahu w/out Bull's-stability).
By simplistic Indo-Iranian, Egyptian, & Nordic tale with some core-Indian ancient-admixtures, these complex/intertwined/cosmic/relative-realities should be clarified. W/Non-linear theme of Retrograde (Rahu-Ketu), Dual & Forward motions, Distinct-Comparisons are non-feasible, etc.
