Our new national poll finds:

-Barr letter didn't change anyone's mind about Trump and Russia.

-Voters care a lot more about health care and the GOP tax plan anyway.

-Republicans are in bad shape on both those issues.

49% of voters think Trump committed obstruction of justice, 40% don't think he did.

When we asked about that in June 2017, 49% thought Trump committed obstruction of justice, 41% thought he didn't:

44% of voters think Trump's team colluded with Russia, 43% don't think it did.

In January when we asked the same question, 45% of voters thought there was collusion and 43% didn't:

51% of voters characterize Trump as being a 'liar,' to 42% who don't.

That's actually up from January when that question came out 48% calling him a liar and 44% not:

68% of voters want Mueller's full report released publicly, 19% are opposed.

Clinton voters want the full report released 88-7.

But Trump voters only want it released 46-37:

It's unlikely a strong finding of collusion would have changed the minds of Trump voters much anyway.

Only 11% think he should resign even if collusion was proven, to 77% who think he should stay in office. They don't care if there *was* collusion:

Trump's approval rating is 42%, the same as it was on a national poll we did earlier in the month. 52% disapprove. No bump in aftermath of Barr letter:

Voters aren't really focused on Trump and Russia anyway.

They care more about health care than the Russia investigation, 80-8.

They care more about the Republican tax plan than the Russia investigation, 65-18:

We find that only *30%* of voters now express opposition to the Affordable Care Act. 49% support it.

Only 34% agree with the Justice Department's recently expressed support for striking down the ACA, 53% opposed:

Trump's proposed cuts to Medicare and Medicaid may be the most unpopular thing he's done since taking office. Only 20% of voters support them to 67% who are opposed.

Even Trump's own voters oppose the cuts, 39-40. That has barely happened on anything:

Overall voters trust Democrats more than Republicans on the issue of health care 49-38: publicpolicypolling.com/polls/opinions…
As we close our first tax season with it in place, only 25% of voters support the tax plan Republicans passed in late 2017 to 40% who oppose it.

Only 25% think it's helped their family's finances. 32% say it's made them worse, 33% say no impact:

52% of voters think the Republican tax plan has mostly helped the rich, 25% say the middle class, and 8% the poor.

Among people who've done their taxes already 30% say they paid more than expected, 25% less:

There's a lot of argument about which Democratic Presidential candidates are and aren't electable. But at least for now Trump polls in the same 40-42% range against all of them:

Trump trails Biden 53-40, Sanders 49-41, Harris 48-41, Booker 48-41, Warren 48-42, Gillibrand 47-41, O'Rourke 47-41, Buttigieg 45-41.

The answer may be that if Trump remains this unpopular most all of the Democratic hopefuls are 'electable.'

Democrats also lead the generic Congressional ballot 51-40, suggesting there hasn't been much movement in the national political climate over the last five months:

55% of voters have a favorable opinion of John McCain to 25% with a negative one.

Clinton voters view him favorably 77-12.

Trump voters view him negatively 32-45:

publicpolicypolling.com/polls/opinions…
Voters have a higher opinion of McCain than Trump, 57-33.

It's 91-3 for McCain with Clinton voters.

But 73-16 for Trump with Trump voters.

This poll question makes it pretty darn clear that the GOP is Trump's party now:

The Barr letter didn't do anything to help Trump in his feud with media.

Voters trust the 'media' in general over Trump 50-39.

Trust NBC and CBS more than him 52-38.

Trust ABC and the NYT more than him 51-38.

Trust WaPo more than him 49-38.

Trust CNN more than him 49-39
Voters with Barack Obama was still President instead of Trump 56-40:

Odds and ends:

-41% support for the wall, 52% opposed.

-40% think Trump has 'Made America Great Again,' 55% say he has not.

-57% want Trump to release his tax returns, 34% opposed:

More odds and ends:

-57% support for replacing the electoral college with national popular vote, 34% opposed.

-54/27 support for Puerto Rican statehood, but 32/37 opposition to DC statehood.

-53/30 support for automatic voter registration:

And finally on the very important issues of our times:

-58% of voters say Michael Jordan is the GOAT to only 13% for LeBron James. A rare thing that D's, R's, and I's are all in agreement on.

-45% of voters support pineapple on pizza, 35% are opposed:
