There is literally nothing new here
Corbyn never promised SM - or a #PeoplesVote. He was always against FoM. His & May's position is identical & he was never interested in what @UKLabour conference thought

Corbyn supporters who insisted otherwise were gullible or gaslighting
This isn't just about #Brexit. This is a party leader who came in on an "empower the members" ticket & has subsequently treated that membership with contempt. He's do whatever he, personally, sees fit

And if you're still a Labour MP or member - you're facilitating this
WTF?
Meanwhile the front bench in @UKLabour has sunk so low that Long Bailey cannot even answer the question "would you choose #RevokeArticle50 over no deal?"

It's beyond belief that current Corbyn supporters used to attack "Blairites" for "Triangulation"

You don't have to like Blair or trust him

But he has consistently distilled Brexit down to its essential decision - painful or pointless

If Labour had said this instead of "Jobs 1st" brexit things may have been different

2) the great failure on #Brexit has been to expose this basic choice

A hard Brexit is painful, a no deal one additionally so

It's possible to have a variation of a deal to soften the blow (including anything from Labour) but ultimately that is only damage limitation - pointless
3) if a majority of the UK go for painful, then we should manage our exit and us Remainers will have to accept it

If not, we Remain

But everyone who has pretended that there is an option in the middle that's of value in itself if we just try hard enough is lying

Virtually every panel from #newsnight to #bbcqt has been dominated by Tory Brexiters & born again Labour "we must deliver #brexit" ones

One key outcome of @TheIndGroup is it's forced @BBCNews to actually feature authentic Remain voices rather than just red/blue Brexit supporters
@TheIndGroup @BBCNews The BBC has failed on #Brexit on many areas but a key 1 has been "balancing" Labour & Tory #Brexit voices - in reality you can barely put a cigarette paper between Corbyn and May on their positions

Labour & Tories are on the same side on this

@TheIndGroup @BBCNews We're still seeing this lack of true balance on the BBC. Labour's ask for a CU in May's deal is being called a soft #Brexit alternative when in reality May's deal already includes a CU in all but name. They're arguing over wording, not substance.

1) Brexit can't be solved

This is the central paradox of #Brexit which is incredibly simple but has been buried in the noise

There is a #Brexit which gives us "freedom" but at an unacceptable cost - hard managed Brexit to no deal crash out
@KirstyS_Hughes 2) whether we crash out with no deal or exit in a managed fashion with a minimal FTA the knock on costs over the mid to long term would be unacceptable to the public (ironically, probably to many leavers included)

And the backstop is a legal requirement anyway
@KirstyS_Hughes 3) there's also a Brexit which has an acceptable cost but unacceptable loss of autonomy. Even if we settle on a CU or CU+SM or some fudge in between it still makes the UK a rule taker.

It's an unsustainable model, we'll be fighting over it for the next 10 years

Tonight @UKLabour broke their promises and refused to back #PeoplesVote . This is goes against Labour Party policy, and lets Labour MPs, Labour members and most importantly the British public down. The fight for a #PeoplesVote continues.
The amendment put by @sarahwollaston would have extended article 50 so that we could have a #PeoplesVote. But MPs decided to put their narrow party interests before the interests of the country. This is why we want to #ChangePolitics

I have noticed that some on the Labour left greet news of any set back for #PeoplesVote with almost as much glee as hard brexiters this cannot be because they want #Brexit as they will often state they voted remain and would vote remain again so bears examination
Labour left tend to produce a constant steam of excuses why they can't oppose #brexit they will say corbyn can do nothing because he isn't in power thus rejecting the very concept of opposition
They will claim they can't offend labour leave voters the implication being remainers who voted tactically to deprive the tories of a majority in 2017 may be ignored with impunity or claim a 2nd ref will anger the far right who hate @jeremycorbyn anyway

News, would be ...
a) Richest UK 50 donate £100bn to UK fund to deal with inequality (ps. they'd still have a lifetime of cash each)
b) £200bn raised with 4% one off wealth tax on properties over £1M
... plenty of money exists to deal with issues, if people are willing.
... this is the one thing that is missing with the whole #peoplesvote discussion. No-one is truly dealing with the core issues behind the vote. It's almost as if some want to go back to how it was ... which means ignoring those left behind, the poorest.

Let's go through Netanyahu's dog-and-pony show. As you will see, everything he said was already known to the IAEA and published in IAEA GOV/2015/68 (2015). There is literally nothing new here and nothing that changes the wisdom of the JCPOA. 1/10
Let's start with the introduction. Netanyahu tells us that Iran's covert nuclear weapons program was called "Project Amad." Sounds scary. The IAEA, however, has already described Project Amad by name and in great detail in ¶ 22. 2/10
Netanyahu describes Iran's development of a nuclear weapons design, specifically implosion simulations. That's very bad. Also, that's old news. The IAEA assessed that "Iran conducted computer modelling of a nuclear explosive device" in ¶ 58-62. 3/10
