An 8 year old girl, Noy Dahan, shot in the leg, after her family left Israel where both her parents were hit by rockets.
"(We were) under the impression that everything is good here. Today we noticed this is not even close to be regular life," Dahan said. cnn.com/2019/04/28/us/…
A few years ago, he said, their home was sprayed with swastikas. Now his children don't want to live in the United States, he said. After the shooting, he said, they asked him one question.

As a human being, my heart breaks for how POC are treated by this regime stocked with crooked good old boys. As a citizen, I can’t bear that children are in concentration camps in Florida, in Texas along the border. All this demonizing to play to a base of bigots shatters me.

This is a story about how we rise. After 9/11, #RobertDeNiro & Jane Rosenthal started a film festival to re-vitalize downtown Manhattan, which was covered in literal ash from the twin towers falling. Via the movies, they brought people to a neighborhood that was struggling. 1)
17 years later #TribecaFilmFestival is lit, burnished into the cultural life of a place that witnessed death, destruction, and backlash against Muslims. It was the worst terrorist attack on our country. 15 of the terrorists in the 4-pronged attacks came from Saudi Arabia. 2)
Saudi Arabia- not part of Donald’s Muslim ban. A country where execution by beheading happens. Ruled by a Crown Prince who wars with Yemen, who ordered a tortuous death of a Washington Post journalist, who is now getting nuclear information from us- Jared’s What’s App buddy. 3)

Today In History 1775: Paul Revere and William Dawes set out on horseback to Lexington to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock to rouse the minutemen, that the British army was on its way to Concord to confiscate weapons in the arsenal and arrest Adams and Hancock.
There was also a third rider, Samuel Prescott, who joined them on their way to Concord. Revere actually got caught on his way to Concord, from Lexington, and it was Prescott who finished the ride.
The Old North Church was the highest point in the city, and it had been previously planned that when the British Army was on their way, to hang a lantern from the steeple - “one if by land two if by sea” meaning either marching across Boston’s neck or crossing the Charles River
