It's all about one person - Nigel Farage. He is a constant thorn in the Tories, and he will be as long as he's got any democratic presence.
The Tories can't abolish the European parliament the way they once abolished the GLC to deal with Ken Livingstone. So what they do is try and resign the whole United Kingdom from the parliament.
And that's the Tory mentality. Leave the European Union, waste billions doing it, risk the Good Friday Agreement and the break up of the union, and a full blown Marxist government.
All because they can't deal with one gobby racist.
