When I was still young, I thought government had a solution to poverty, I gave up.
When I joined NGO, I thought NGOs had solutions to poverty, I gave up
Today I believe the solution to poverty is in inclusive business modeling, making the poor to be part of the value chains as producers and not consumers
Today I believe we have enough innovation for the rich, it's an easy target. The future of marketing and innovation is in BoP and societal marketing.
For example we have empty flats in Nairobi but the city has a shortage of housing. We just haven't thought enough about what is affordable housing for the poor who are actually the majority
today I challenge people in real estate and architectures to design an affordable decent house for the poor majority and that becomes disruptive innovation urban population
