2/ Editor & co-founder of Westmonster, Michael Heaver, is standing for the Brexit Party in the European parliamentary elections. In the article announcing his candidacy, there was no mention of Heaver stepping away from the website for the campaign period. #SFFN

3/ We’re not here to comment on the suitability of someone who runs a fake news website to be an elected parliamentarian, but voters might be interested to know about the company Heaver keeps #SFFN

4/ Westmonster has published 40 articles on the Brexit Party since it was founded 3 months ago, mostly reporting how well it is doing in various polls, or repeating announcements from the party & Nigel Farage #SFFN

5/ It appears that Westmonster will act as a propaganda channel for the Brexit Party during the election campaign. See fawning lines like “Brexit Party reveal another diverse group of MEP candidates” & the suggestion that their MEPs could take over the Brexit negotiations #SFFN

6/ Westmonster has published two quotes from Brexit Party MEP candidate Claire Fox, but, oddly, is yet to report on her recently uncovered past support for IRA bombings & controversial position on online child abuse 🤔
