Now that the jokes and memes are out the way, can we really talk about John Gray?

I think it might be time to recognize a lack of emotional integrity and a refusal of any real accountability for harm caused in intimate relationships as a rite of passage for Black male preachers.
Despite the narratives he continuously creates in his defense, his latest scandal ain't about the pressure on him to be perfect and church folks' unwillingness to fully accept him. It ain't even about the consequences -and irony- of going on The Real to lie and be fake.
It's about the belief that "godly" men can do whatever they want and suffer very few consequences. It's about an ideology that suggests the closer a man's ministry is aligned with David (not Jesus), the more anointed and impactful it will be.

When it comes to the refusal to affirm the full dignity of LGBTQIA+ persons, the Church universal is wrong.
This is not about individual churches and pastors doing the work. We know they exist. It is about an institution that routinely chooses to place value in particular lives and ideologies over others.
The constant refusal to recognize the full humanity of marginalized populations by people who worship a man who lived at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities dishonor him and grieve his father's heart.

I started working for Microsoft Consulting Services on Feb 14, 1994(Valentines Day) in Minneapolis. I went onsite with a customer that same day, getting introduced around. I also setup my first "laptop"-a Compaq Portable 386. "Weighs less than 20 pounds!"

This was also when the excitement for Windows 95 was just starting. Here's one of first free t-shirts I ever received. For a day or 2 I worked the booth at the Minnesota State Fair, demonstrating Win95 to fair goers.
