Middlesbrough Council vice-chair Lee Garvey today apologised for comments that only yesterday he claimed weren't antisemitic. Whilst that's a welcome development, he still maintains the fiction that the remarks were made 4 years ago. In fact, half of them were posted in 2018. 
It's disheartening to see so many of Cllr Garvey's friends and allies refusing to accept that his statements are racist against Jewish people and some have confidently asserted that Rothschild conspiracy theories are true.
