Every year the UN flies "influencers &celebrities" to refugee camps to motivate others to donate.
I can't help but say that the money used to fly & accommodate these figures should be going instead to refugees who desperately need it.
And those who want to motivate others to donate should be transparent & tell their audience how much they personally donated. Otherwise it comes across as fake.
Actually, it has the opposite effect on me when I see a person who never gave time/money/care to refugees suddenly preaching for one day about need to help refugees.
It's not sincere.
So when I see unnecessary money paid to accommodate celebrities, I get angry.
If these trips result in more donations, @Refugees should tell us. More transparency. How much was paid &how much was made?
