THREAD: Quick reminder for conservatives opposing Michael Bogren's nomination or on the fence: Trump's screening team has been 100%. And basis for opposition seems to be disagreement over whether there is a moral obligation to refuse to represent client if representation 1/
2/ requires advancing a legal theory that conflicts with personal beliefs or judicial philosophy, EVEN when there is a moral and legal obligation owed to law firm partners. That is an intriguing, line-drawing, philosophical question: Is it okay to defend a City that limited
3/ speech? Does it matter type of speech limited? Outside abortion clinic? Doxing of conservatives? What about City ordinance limiting right to possess high capacity magazine? What about City ordinance allowing check-points for DUI? Illegal aliens?
4/ What about City zoning out pregnancy resource center? There are literally thousands of example you could use. But bottom line: I trust Trump's screening team to have gotten it right on Bogren, as it has so far across the board. And I know Bogren. He's my cousin. And
