I might as well dispatch this sophistry while I’m at it.

If God creates beings with wills, they will either be such that they CANNOT will other than what God will, or they CAN.

If they CAN, then that JUST IS evil. No possibility of evil, no freedom.
Point the second, the possibility of evil (PoE) is required for greater good IF freedom is a good.

If you think it makes no difference that you are a robot or puppet, I’m not sure I can help you.

Since freedom is good, then the PoE is required for greater good.
God is responsible for “allowing” evil in the sense that God creates creatures than can freely will things other than God’s will, which JUST IS to will (and so do) evil.

So God is responsible for the POSSIBILITY OF EVIL, which is FREEDOM, which is GOOD, but not for any EVIL.
That is, God is responsible for the GOOD of FREEDOM, which is at the same time the POSSIBILITY OF EVIL (necessarily). But God is NOT responsible for any actual evil, which is always (necessarily) a misuse of the GOOD of FREEDOM.
God did nothing wrong.

God cannot actually do anything wrong.

Because to do wrong is to will imperfectly, or to will at variance with God’s will, neither of which God does or can do.
