You see many copywriters try to create a scenario that would
never happen in the life of their target ...
When you're writing a copy for a video ad,
try to link the scenario of the problem to the most common problem they face everyday!
If you're selling a car window protector,
show them a man who escaped robbery in Lagos dangerous traffic because he had his windows...
Don't show them a video of a man walking towards his car when a little child throws a stone at him and it shatters his glass windows.
Of course, he knows this SCENARIO is very rare or never happens at all.
So, when you use the SCARE technique,
Feed on the already existing emotions and make it seem harmful enough to move them to action.
NOTE: Make your ad DRAMATIC. People can't resist drama.
