In the coming days, we’ll no doubt be seeing nonsense talk about a Bolton-led “false flag” attack on the two Gulf of Oman tankers—even if solid evidence of Iran’s guilt is released.

This is crazy-talk insanity, and it should discredit the speaker. Let’s explain...

Even if you hate John Bolton and think (wrongly) that he’s a Neocon, you’d have to believe that an operation like this could be accomplished *at all* much less with any secrecy.

The Deep State—the national security “borg”—despises Bolton and wants to make deals with Iran.

Who’d do it? You think that if Bolton tried to do something like this, it wouldn’t be leaked to the WaPo THE VERY SAME DAY by opponents of Trump admin policy?

Of course it would. Come on, guys.

The only way you could believe in things like this, in 2019, is if you’re so far in the fever-swamps, you’re not interacting with anyone who makes policy or has been involved at all in national security debates for 20 years.

The idea that a bunch of guys who are so outnumbered and under siege within the left-leaning beltway natsec bureaucracy that they can’t even designate the Muslim Brotherhood would undertake to do a “false flag” is crazy nonsense.

As in, not reality. Sorry, guys.

We’ve just come out of a genuine scandal where, for the last 3 years, the intelligence community and the NatSec borg was openly flaunting it’s prerogative and responsibility to override the people’s choice in a presidential election— and you’re telling me they’d be down w this.
