Students, parents, teachers, and school board members have marched—from Milwaukee, from rural Wisconsin, mile after mile, to Madison to fight for public education funding. And now, here we are at the Capitol. The Assembly votes on the budget *today.*

The march kicked off in the beautiful small town of Palmyra—which has a high school with a leaking roof, underpaid but wonderful teachers and administrators... and is about to be dissolved as a school district. Funds will run out after one more school year.
This sign was made more than a decade ago. Now, the school funding crisis is here.
“It is finals week in Wisconsin. And we are about to start issuing report cards.” – Heather Dubois Bourenane, Wisconsin Public Education Network
The plan: go into the building. Go to the gallery. Watch the Assembly. Make sure they know you’re watching. Keep up the fight.
