A tweet reminded me today.

A lot of the focus on #Brexit is about trade & economics.

What we forget in that is that all #Brexits lead to hard-#Brexit once our rights are gone and #Brexit high-command / the #Tory ultra-right can do exactly as they please - with you.

2/2 How long before *your* job is transitioned to a 0-hours contract? Or fancy an 80-hour week? Instant dismissal by text?

Also, there are some #Tories just gagging to re-criminalise a few things. Like being #LGBTQ. Or not pulling your forelock sufficiently deferentially.

Regular reminder. £0.29p each a day for:

- Zillions back in trade✔
- All our rights through membership✔
- Freedom of Movement (huge plus)✔
- Reciprocal Everything, like✔
-- EHIC Health Insurance✔
-- Driving Licences ok✔
- All the rest (add your favourites in comments)✔
AND the UK 'just never bothered to implement' the rules on immigration control - so if there *is* an issue with immigration (?) - it's the UK's own fault, not the EU's fault.
...and the UK could sort any issue without leaving the EU and losing all of the massive benefits of membership (except tax-dodging for the ultra-rich and racism and xenophobia for racists and xenophobes obvs...).

The increased support for a ‘no deal’ Brexit is the ultimate failure of the Leave movement. It’s the inevitable consequence of the refusal to grasp details, come to terms with complexity & coalesce around a plan. Compromise can be frustrating. So instead they will have a tantrum.
Some Brexiteers advocated sensible solutions. The EFTA/EEA solution gained a lot of traction in the years before the ref. Even Farage had promoted it & countless others. See Farage below from 2011 essentially making the ‘Liberal Leave’ case!

1) Why is Corbyn Pro #Brexit?
Because he wants to nationalise major industries, the so called "commanding heights", & needs Brexit, in particular hard Brexit, to do so

Which in turn means he's not at all bothered about economic hardship following that hard Brexit
2) I wrote this Blog 2 years ago and it was ridiculed at the time by Corbyn supporters who thought it was an unfounded smear attempt

The Brexiteers are correct: if UK doesn't leave the customs union - enabling it to make its own trade deals - then there is no real #Brexit
(Trouble is: leaving CU will damage UK prosperity, jobs & Ireland. Is this the "will of the people"?).

1. Liam Fox is trending - which is never going to be for the right reasons, but the outpouring of cynicism and negativity is not especially useful either. It follows a blistering and inaccurate assault on @tradegovuk by the CBI which is based on gossip and rumour.

2. The source of the scorn comes from this particular article, which is more speculation than actual fact. CBI is right to be concerned - and the lack of information isn't helping but @tradegovuk has its hands tied for the moment.

3. A lot of trade policy will depend on what the EU relationship looks like and until firm decisions are made, all we can really do is prepare for the various eventualities. The problem is not with Fox's department, or Fox especially, rather it is a lack of political leadership.
