For 5 years, Sergio Moro unilaterally altered Brazilian politics with no transparency, little journalistic scrutiny & a dangerous mythology that converted him into a super-hero of probity. All along, he was using corrupt tactics in the dark. That's why a free press is so vital.
As Bolsonaro's Minister of Justice & Public Security - a position he got after he removed Bolsonaro's primary obstacle to the presidency (Lula) on dubious charges - Moro is now abusing police powers to silence the journalism exposing him. That's who he is - and always has been. 
Last night, at an internationally renowned literary event in Paraty, Bolsonaro's followers used standard fascist tactics to try to silence dissent - shooting fireworks at us and trying to drown out the discussion. They failed and will keep failing.
