Within the past few days, Trump has made Omar, Cortez, and the socialist Dems the face of the party as Pelosi battled them for control. This is how voters will see Rs and Ds going forward.
If GOP start demanding that Dems go on record supporting or opposing Omar’s BDS bill, it’s going to polarize voters against the party even more. It puts the party’s refusal to condemn her earlier anti-Semitic remarks front and center once again.
That AND if Dems continue pushing impeachment, which polls poorly in coveted swing districts, they won’t need Republicans to run against, they'll defeat themselves in 2020. Not often they’re seen behind the eight ball like this in terms of strategy.
