CODE RED 💦: SYABAS says it can’t give a timeframe for when water will be back as they haven’t detected the source of contamination. “Code Red” Emergency Action Plan has been activated and the state disaster unit has been contacted for help.
WATER PLANTS BACK UP 💦: Three treatment plants are fully operational but no timeframe for when water will be fully restored. Source of the odour contamination traced back to Sungai Liam, Batang Kali, Hulu Selangor. Relevant officials will be making a statement on this.
As of 6am, 19% of affected areas have got their water back. SYABAS says customers can get water from local service centres listed below as not all areas will be visited by water trucks due to the scale of the problem.
As of 6am today (July 21), water supply has been restored to 86% of SYABAS customer accounts.
Four water treatment plants have resumed operations after having to be shut down yesterday over diesel pollution in Sg Selangor from sand dredging works upstream.
