1. There's overwhelming evidence minimum wage hurts the labor market and real wage growth. There's decades of data on it.

There is no evidence minimum wage has a positive impact on the labor force. None. It hurts those it supposedly helps the most.

Roughly 30K Americans are killed w/ guns each year. Only a third are murders. Two-thirds are suicides. That third says more about cultural deficiencies and lack of values among men, particularly young men, than anything

There is no 1 solution. But gun control is not one of them.
I mean, you can argue for gun control or "common sense" gun control all you want if it makes you feel virtuous.

But it doesn't work. It won't work. Ultimately, it will lead to less security, more death and less freedom. So, you might want to rethink the whole virtue argument.
And people have to stop citing the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban, which is evidence against gun control, not for it. The trend began in 1992, 1st of all. 2nd, it has been researched ad nauseam.

Academics for DOJ concluded in 2004 the effects were "too small for reliable measurement."

The study conducted for @TheJusticeDept did not conclude this to be accurate, at all.

"We cannot clearly credit the ban with any of the nation's recent drop in gun violence," the DOJ-funded study explicity stated in 2004.

@TheJusticeDept @BillClinton The claim the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban decreased total gun murders by 6.7%, is also bogus. It was rejected by researchers when @SenFeinstein first drummed up that lie.

The decline had nothing to do with the ban, rather a combination of other factors found in the mirror.

BS platitudes are a convenient way to skirt hard truths.

Guns played a much larger role in our society 100-150 years ago than they do now.

Yet, mass shootings are a modern phenomena. We are the problem, not guns.

Our culture, our minds, our values, or lack-thereof.

It's us.
When you devalue human life and weaken the human connection, societies become more violent and less humane.

This is not difficult, folks. The law cannot fix this.

Laws are merely a reflection of a society's values. Brush up on your Cicero.

Btw, that's just in reference to mass shootings. Forget that they represented about 2% of all daily murders on average in the last 6 years.

Like I said, "we" are the problem. Who we've become is the problem. Not laws or inanimate objects.

1. The picture painted of the Trump presidency is devastating. Nixon is no longer the most corrupt, lawless, venal President in modern history. (1/5)
2. Yes Trump was saved from some criminal acts by his odd ball staff. That does not minimize Trump’s conduct, nor does that make the staffers heroes. They went along with many other awful acts (2/5)
