According to every index the patient should be dead. Why is he partying?
Maybe there's a lot more inherent stability to the system than conventional wisdom allows. The conflict in Washington has effectively let go of the stick thereby "letting God fly". The good economy is the result of not having politicians help too much.
It's only when things get into an inherently unstable state that active intervention is vital. The rest of the time political inputs may do more harm than good.

As the 20th century fades into the past Communism will be seen for what it truly was: the Other Totalitarianism, arguably the greater one. This judgment was held at bay by its hordes of professional apologists. As that coating wears off the verdict can no longer be avoided.
This will upset the True Believers those who believed in what turned out to be the most murderous ideology of all time. The sad truth is that good intentions are often at the heart of many evils. Meine Ehre heißt Treue was sincerely uttered also.

INS Sindhuvir will be used by the Myanmar Navy — which is looking at acquiring a submarine fleet in the coming years, for training purposes. The Kilo class submarine, bought from Russia in the 1980s, is currently being modernised by the Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) in Vizag.
The work is likely be completed before the end of this year. The transfer of the submarine is likely to take place with a line of credit (LoC) that has been extended by India to Myanmar for enhancing military capability.

Though I am really glad that #arsenic contamination of #groundwater in India, and specially #WestBengal is getting the attention it deserves, there is a major issue that needs wider discussion.
There is a simplistic argument that arsenic naturally occurs in the #Gangetic belt, the author uses the term “#geological curse”. If this is the case, why is heavy #arsenic contamination being reported from #Jharkhand and #Chattisgarh in Central India?
A possible answer to that may be traced to this MIT paper that was published in @NatureGeosci on #anthropogenic influence on #groundwater #arsenic contamination in #Bangladesh nature.com/articles/ngeo6…
