I watched the Fyre festival documentary on Netflix last night. It's gripping.

A guy with a vision for a sparkling sunlit time on an island.

With no actual idea how it would be done except IT WOULD BE FANTASTIC.

1.
Sold this dream to two groups of people - those who wanted it at any cost, and those who could help deliver it.

Turns out, without a plan, time, money or resources, those who invested their time & energy trying to make it work soon realised - it was never going to work.

2.
Those who saw the vision loved it (naturally) and bought into it enthusiastically.

Those trying to make it work were increasingly panicked as time to the Event ticked by with still no plan, resources or ability to deliver. Some quit.

There are only two kinds of people still backing Brexit - those who were conned but whose own self esteem won't allow them to admit it, even to themselves, and those who were in on the con and perpetuate it. /1
Anyone quoting "the will of the people" or "democracy" at me can fuck off. Because not only is it being demonstrated daily that it is likely not the Will of the People *now*, but all of the promises made about Brexit positives have gone. /2
What has replaced it are ever stronger attempts to quash any argument against Brexit, and moves to distance themselves from consequences from those who caused this. Expect to hear a lot more "Brexit would be fine if they did it MY way" /3

Dear @UKLabour, I have today cancelled my Direct Debit payment. This shouldn't be taken as an indication that I wish to leave Labour. You'll appreciate the strategic ambiguity in my position - I want to retain the benefits of membership 1/
without being a "rule taker" or having the financial burden.
I do have some tests, which if passed mean I could in good conscience stay and support the party I love and grew up with. 2/
But it's looking very much like you may fail my tests, and I confess I’m not sure what to do when that happens. Sound familiar?

The main test I'd want Labour to meet is one that Jeremy Corbyn proudly displayed recently - "not a single job lost". 3/

For people who have been involved in politics for a longtime, this is not the first documented outbreak of #LabourAntisemitism amongst the Far Left of the party but this time it is different for many reasons which I will now explain. 1/8
The last time @UKLabour had a truly Socialist leader was Neil Kinnock, who also found himself attracting a great army of undesirable members (as is always the case) under Socialism, many of whom were #AntiSemitic but he had most of them expelled from @UKLabour. 2/8
It may even have cost him the chance to become PM, but fortunately we will never know. so now fast forward to the election of #Corbyn as leader of @UKLabour a man with an extremely well documented past for siding with terrorist organisations - in particular anti-Israel ones. 3/8

I've got about 45 minutes, and I'm going to tell you some things I know, and some things I think, specifically about the climate change fraction of the worldwide ecosystem catastrophe. A thread.
2. For starters, climate change is just one fraction of the global ecosystem catastrophe. All plans to address climate change which ignore mass extinction are failures by their own terms.
3. Focusing solely on carbon emissions to address the worldwide ecosystem catastrophe is like putting calamine lotion on a terminal case of measles. It may relieve the itch, but the patient still dies.

So I looked into the "House of Cards" and it's relation to what is about to happen. Let's start out with the common definition of a '#HouseOfCardsQ' : "A plan, organization, or other entity that is destined to fail due to a weak structure or foundation" @intheMatrixxx @412Anon87
2) Q-Group has referenced "House of Cards" 5 times. The first reference was 372 (373 on some). The context in the surrounding drops was relating to actual mil-operations taking place. ATL extraction, the congressional train derailment, & an extraction at Charles Degaulle Airport.
3) Drop 372 came in on December 18, 2017 and read:
House of cards.
12 deals rejected (today alone).
Panic in DC.
TRUST SESSIONS.
Enjoy the show.
So in context "House of Cards" seems to be referring to 'cards' that have been removed- thereby weakening the structure.
