Happy Friday, friends.

It's time I tell you about all of of the amazing people that helped make this year's @wpcampusorg conference not only happen, but be a beautifully inclusive and engaging event for our community. #WPCampus The organizing committee bought me a beautiful photo frame from our host college, Lewis and Clark College. It now sits on my desk and is home to a photo of the organizing team.
First, a HUGE thanks to the 2019 organizing team. We met every Tuesday to plan the event. They gave me the best gift, the photo and frame seen in my previous tweet.

@smcl
Brad Davidson
@BrianDeConinck
@gilzow
Ali Gray
@dashifen
@ncsumarit
@stpha6
@esembrat
@GaleWallace
This was the first year that I was not the chair of the team and I'm so grateful to @ncsumarit and @galewallace who stepped up when I needed them most to co-chair the event. They killed it with their project management and always seemed to be a few steps ahead to get things done.
.@smcl and @gilzow did an amazing job working with our sponsors. They are both amazing humans who give so much dedication and energy in all they do.

Amazingly, no one confused me and Sara this year. At least not that I'm aware of.
.@BrianDeConinck and @stpha6 were in charge of volunteers and wow. They nailed it. Our event usually runs pretty smoothly but this year was phenomenal, and its because of their hard work and planning.
.@esembrat and @dashifen took care of our amazing speakers and what a pair of hard working humans with such large hearts. Watching the speakers submit slides and have them all on the site before the event was over was like watching a masterpiece come together.
Ali Gray joined our team as a local Portland-ian who works at @portlandcc. She was an amazing asset to have in general (because shes awesome) and for "on the ground" tasks. She also did an amazing job of designing our t-shirt (as seen in the first photo)!
Ever tried recording sessions AND livestreaming them all while managing them for your in-person event? FYI: it is not simple. In comes Brad Davidson who headed up our "livestream dream team", along with Evan Clark. Soooo grateful for all Brad did for us. He made it look easy.
Last, but definitely not least, I'm so grateful for my mother @MSMKB. We look forward to her joining us every year. She's always there when we need something, like running an errand to Home Depot while we all played trivia because I forgot to get box tape. Thank you, momma.
Again, thank you all. The broader @wpcampusorg community helps plan our events but the core team makes the magic happen.

I'm so grateful for this amazing group of humans and for the few days we got to spend together in-person. Our meetings always felt like gathering with family.
If you'd like to help plan future events, the @wpcampusorg community meets in our Slack #planning channel every Thursday at 11 am EDT.

Time to start planning New Orleans! ⚜️ #WPCampus2020
