Let's talk about racism, violence & MSM. Thousands of young black men, women & children die violently every year, yet it is ignored or dismissed by MSM because it can't be used to promote- or contradicts the left/MSM agenda of blaming 'racism' or 'white nationalism'.

There are twin problems in America today that seem to be Kryptonite for both politicians and the media: Mental Health and Nihilistic Youth. They are both interrelated, and have been overriding factors in nearly every recent mass shooting.

MSM focuses on SYMPTOMS & side issues like ideological 'manifestos' which are usually just disjointed ramblings of madmen, or deliberate red herrings created to cause discord- playing into the continual pundit-class 'blame game' of scapegoating whole segments of society.

Conflating the actions of a madman w/ people they cite in their own twisted mind as 'motivation' is going down a well-worn rabbit hole of scapegoating others and using a tragic incident as a cudgel to beat on political opponents and cynically advance one's ideological agenda

This is dangerous because it ignores the ACTUAL causes of such tragedies- the insane individual- instead trying to blame the rhetoric of political opponents, or posession of firearms by the vast majority of people who don't commit violent acts nor support violent ideologies.

We can all agree that an individual who is mentally unstable is ultimately responsible fof these heinous acts. But Mental Health, how it is handled, treated and dealt with NEVER seems to be discussed among hand-wringing, political figures and pundits.

In fact, with few exceptions, most mass shooters are taking/changing/coming off of pharmaceutical treatments for psychological disorders, and many have been or were currently undergoing psychiatric treatment for problems and disorders.

These psychological disorders usually seem to stem from a disconnection from society, leading to a nihilistic outlook where normal interactions with others are dysfunctional or absent entirely. There is no outlet for emotion- especially anger- and the person looks for 'blame'

They'll seek out ANY ideology or belief to explain their INTERNAL angst, in a twisted conflation of outside, often unrelated factors for their own personal anguish & frustration. But the problem is within THEIR mind- not some outside factor that is merely a convenient excuse.

Those in politics & media who buy into these internal delusions of a madman, giving them credence or worse- leveraging them to promote THEIR political or social agendas ate wittingly or unwittingly feeding into the delusions of the NEXT shooter by giving them a platform.

Media & politicians need to stop conflating internal beliefs of isolated mentally-disturbed individuals with larger societal factors and broad ideologies. This serves only to give credence and motivation to other sick individuals who hear them as well as to those ideologies.

We need instead to address a generation of isolated, socially disconnected individuals who ate not receiving social, moral or psychological support and guidance, and instead just fall deeper into a lonely pit of despair, anger and resentment.
