1) There is a lot to unpack in @KimDozier's report on the so-called peace deal with the Taliban. First and foremost, the Taliban refuses to denounce al Qaeda, while the US with withdraw most of its forces by late 2020.

@KimDozier @US4AfghanPeace 7) As @thomasjoscelyn & I, and even the United Nations, have pointed out numerous times, al Qaeda is fighting alongside the Taliban to this day. The Taliban is lying about this, and Khalilzad knows it. Yet he trusts the Taliban to be a CT partner.
