Men Over 40: How To Maximise Your Testosterone, And Minimise Cortisol (Thread):

Testosterone is THE male hormone.

And frankly, society hates it.

But if you want to maximise your:

- Drive
- Muscle mass
- Health
- Fat loss
- Relationships
- Income (yes, income)

Then...
You have to completely ignore what society deems as 'normal' - a pathetic 300 - and get your levels into the:

800-1200 range.

That's where the magic is.

That's where your health & happiness is.

Here's how to get it...
#1) Set Some Exciting Goals

Drive, direction & purpose is #1.

It comes before all else.

It's the number one thing that stops you from being a feather in the wind, and from life kicking the crap out of you.

Mission before all else.

Next:
#2) Sleep 7+ Hours Per Night

The following tips will help you to achieve this, but remember that this is probably THE MOST powerful of all.

Make sure it's 7+ hrs.

Make sure it's consistent (timing).

Crucial for high T & low stress.

#3) Get Your EFA's

Fish are the best source of EFA's (bonus: they also have loads of protein too).

Without adequate fats, high T is impossible.

#4) Supplement With Fish Oil

Especially if you don't currently eat fish twice per week or more.

How much?

1000mg 2-3 times per day.

#5) Get 1000-5000mg Vitamin D Per Day

This depends on where you live, and also your lifestyle.

The science also isn't 100% conclusive on the ideal (specific) range.

Somewhere in the above range however, and you're good.

This will help you to achieve #2 (the most powerful de-stressor).

#7) Drink Less Alcohol

I know, I know; it's fun.

But it:

A) Kills your sleep (#2), and;

#8) Get Plenty Of Sex & Affection

The science is REALLY strong on this one - oxytocin is a real fatigue-fighter.

In my experience, nothing feels better when you're injured, or you've had a brutal training session, than having a special woman next to you.

#9) Have Fun (Without Alcohol)

Having fun releases stress and stops your T from declining.

But make sure it's 'relaxing fun', not partying, getting drunk etc.

That stuff ADDS TO your total stress.

#10) Train HARD 3+ Times Per Week

In terms of testosterone, 3 times per week is the minumum, and the ideal is going to be a MIXTURE of lifting and cardio.

The best cardio will be fighting/martial arts.

Followed by HIIT (don't get injured!)

But any cardio is good.
