Jeremy Corbyn's trying to browbeat MPs into supporting him in a caretaker government. "The Labour leadership’s argument is that if MPs are serious about stopping a no-deal Brexit then they will have to get behind his plan." Sounds a wee bit like blackmail.

BTW, there is a critical difference between a caretaker government and a GNU. One works for a defined purpose, but is essentially a minority Government. The other is a true cross-party effort. Tories who can support a GNU may well not support a caretaker government.
Note too Jeremy Corbyn's priorities: GE first. But a second referendum? If that's after the GE, it may well never happen, because you can't keep promises made going into an election if you then lose that election. So it doesn't really solve Brexit, just moves it a few weeks.
And if Boris Johnson goes into the GE ranting about Labour thwarting Brexit & promising to crash out instantly if he wins, he's going to scoop up most of the Brexit Party vote. Labour will split the remain vote by being semi-hemi-demi-remain enough to really hurt, but no more.
A good take on this. Summary: approach with a mountain of salt.
