I’m just saying, if I had expertise in disinformation and a more than passing interest in geopolitics, I’d say that’s starting to look an awful lot like a coordinated disinformation attack on NATO members. But what do I know
Also, news agencies: They’re undoubtedly going to immediately start blaming migrants, refugees, asylees, etc. This is going to be the same disinformation as before, the same as it always is. Don’t let them get away with it this time. Call them out on it. There are tropes:
“Outraged Muslims demanding things” is one of these corrosive tropes. Usually it’s some Muslim person demanding an entire school (or district, or restaurant) changes a menu or tradition around to suit them. This will be utter bullshit. They’re never true.
The other one I can think of right now is of course the “diseased foreigner” trope. It’s just what it sounds like and is often accompanied by a repurposed photo. This, too, is going to be bullshit. Don’t take these stories at face value.
