Brexiters: "OMG 43 Policy areas were changed from Unanimity to QMV by the Lisbon Treaty!"

Lets see, shall we? : commonslibrary.parliament.uk/insights/exten…

The Brexiter list contained 43 Policy areas.
When you take out UK opt-outs/ins, emergency brakes & brazen lies, the list shrinks to 18.
2/
And what is the problem with that 18?

Change the question around:
"Should one small country - Malta or Latvia - be able to block a UK policy in one of these areas when 26 other countries all agree it's a good thing?"

Look at the policy areas. What exactly is the problem?
3/
Furthermore, within these18 policy areas:

1. The EU must not take action unless it is more effective than action taken at national, regional or local level.

2. The action of the EU is limited to what is necessary to achieve the objectives of the Treaties.
4/
All in all, the whole "Lisbon QMV" schtick is just another Brexiter scare story that evaporates when you inspect it more closely.

MYTH BUSTED.
