As one of my friends noted today while watching this, it is remarkable that people will tweet at me literally hundreds of times, but if I respond to them, I'm "obsessed" and "can't let it go." Meaning: "Why can't you just agree with us and move on?"

And yet, if I don't respond, there are a fair number of people who will then say: "You blue check elitists never engage with us ordinary folks here on Twitter."
What they mean is: "Either agree with me, or shut up."
That's why a lot of the blue checks *don't* engage.

As I always say: If you don't like the food in this diner, move on. I'm not changing the menu. I engage the way I engage. I appreciate that you all read my stuff - I really do! But as for what I engage on, and how, here on Twitter... if you don't like it, take a hike.
