BBC News headline (2pm): "Crowds of demonstrators have gathered in locations across the UK to protest against the Prime Minister's decision to suspend Parliament. Organisers hope tens of thousands will take to the streets in dozens of towns and cities." #DefendOurDemocracy
That was word for word the key summary. Not "tens of thousands *have* gathered", but "organisers *hope* tens of thousands". Why report facts when you can report hopes. They're so much weaker. Unbelievable how quickly the BBC is becoming a mouthpiece of the Tory junta...
Then in the video package that followed: "More than 30 protests are planned across the UK. Organisers say they're expecting tens of thousands of people." All that against a background of massive crowds who were *already* protesting.
