Full of admiration for the Tory MPs taking a stand today. It takes an extraordinary degree of bravery to stand up to a bullying govt, to the attacks you'll get online and offline, and to face the potential end of your career, because you're going to act in the national interest.
I don't share their politics. Most aren't even Remainers. But whenever you see people with that degree of independent mindedness, in the face of overwhelming threat, you have to tip your hat.
It's going to be a brutal few days for them. But in a few years, when all this is over, they will look like statespeople, whereas those who kept quiet and did what they were told will be forgotten.
