The good thing is the Somalis recruits are so weak and underfed up there that the ISIS recruiters had to promise them a monkey bar-less and no flaming hoop, cruelty-free terrorist training environment. longwarjournal.org/archives/2016/…

Russia invaded the Ukraine and is engaged in aggressive violence against a peaceful state. Both countries are in Europe. So we have a war inside Europe and Trump was more concerned about extorting the new leader by witholding urgent military aid. #Classy ukrinform.net/rubric-defense…
Most of this aid consists of purchases of American military and intel hardware along training and support contracts to US companies to bolster the Ukraine military. In essence it all comes back to us. defense.gov/Newsroom/News/…
The Ukraine deal is a drop in the bucket compared to other nations. Some that neither need or appropriately use our aid. Like Nigeria, Pakistan or Uganda.

I also confirmed @Nrg8000 the location to Bayingol, Xinjiang. What is disturbing is the logistics and training system created by China to process humans. Presumably Uighers. I have seen other processing centers in Somalia, Italy, Libya etc but this is definately worth exploring.

Our warning that ISIS is likely capable of seizing a major urban center is perhaps the most alarming conclusion of our report. As such, I'll unpack what it does and doesn't mean here

We assess that #ISIS has the forces, commanders, money, weapons/ammunition, and penetration into various urban areas to conduct an urban assault if it chose to do so. This would require ISIS to mass forces and to take a pretty considerable risk, but they could do it. 2/
ISIS has spent over 1yr, & in many areas over 2, conducting an intelligence-driven campaign of assassinations against local community leaders & those who supported the coalition. This weakens local resistance by killing key people & reasserts psychological control/coercion 3/

BREAKING - #ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-#Baghdadi revealed in-person on new #ISIS video post-#Caliphate defeat in #Syria-#Iraq.

He appears in fine health, despite reports of severe injury.
I'm honestly unconvinced that this "diminished" point translates over to #ISIS & its existing/possible support base.

To me, this seems like a Western-centric point from which to analyze a video containing #Baghdadi's 2nd appearance in ~5yrs - a big deal.

#pt: For #ISIS, the struggle is theologically infinite - it isn't "defeated" or "prevented" by territorial losses.

e.g. #Trump's #Syria withdrawal announcement in #Dec '18 would have been perceived as a sign of eventual victory.

- #Baghdadi's video = fuel, not sign of weakness.
