2016 I "illegally" brought drones and accessories worth about N10 million into the country...They were confiscated by customs at the Airport.

Why?

A month before, the National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno issued an order to all corresponding agencies to seize UAV's brought into Nigeria by "unauthorised persons" at ports of entries and borders.

Reason given is that Boko Haram insurgents were using drones to facilitate their ambush on our Armed Forces.
This was not published anywhere, I argued this matter up to his office. There was nothing I didn't do. I even took it up to Aso Rock.

I was then made to understand that ONLY Baba could override it. It was further explained that if I had a registered media company as opposed to mere social media handles, there would have been reasonable reasons to release my equipment.

"Jack, ignorance of the law is not an excuse" so I was told by my Aso Villa contacts. They maintained that I ought to have made thorough enquiries before bringing in such an equipment.

When I narrate my odyssey and the huge financial loss, people are like, a whole you? A whole Buhari's first son? Upon all you are doing for Baba?

I learnt my lesson, @Ob360Media was founded, duly registered with CAC and the rest is history.

Nigeria has constitutional rules and regulations, Nigeria has a criminal code, Nigeria has laws, that they are no longer being rigorously applied is not tantamount to approval of lawlessness.

Our hypocrisy is such that we all want change, we all want the wrath of the law against illegality UNTIL it goes against our interests

Sowore is lucky that this is not the Buhari/Idiagbon days or the Abacha days.

Sowore should end this nonsense, APPEAL to Aso Rock to throwaway the case or give him soft landing. Or risk serious consequences that those of you making mouth here won't save him from.
