BREAKING NOW: The House voted 421-0 in favor of a non-binding resolution rebuking the Trump administration’s refusal to release the whistleblower complaint and condemning its activities directly involving the President Donald Trump and Ukraine.

@CourthouseNews Since a select group of lawmakers now have the complaint, the resolution was passed anyway because it also calls for the whistleblower to be allowed to speak freely with committee lawmakers.
In addition, it formally calls for the preservation of all records related to the complaint and demands that Trump cease discrediting the whistleblower openly.

The statute does not contend that the subject of the complaint be an employee within the intelligence community but Schiff says Maguire adopts a position that says Trump is above director, above IG, therefore, IG cant investigate. That was the IG's reading. Is that his reading?
The allegation, Maguire says, has to relate to intelligence.
Schiff, I'm trying to get to whether POTUS is beyond reach of law.
Maguire: No one is.
Schiff: yet IG has said he cannot look into it further because it involves the president and his beyond his jurisdiction
Maguire: we were waiting for exec priv to be determined. Not sure what can be done now. If I didn't send it forward within 7 days, then the statute would allow whistleblower to come to you and still be protected.

@CourthouseNews CORRECTION: The House voted 228-191 in favor of adopting a RULE that calls for resolution to send DNI whistleblower complaint to House and Senate. A debate will unfold this afternoon, final vote on res around 5PM.

In letters to Wilbur Ross and Bill Barr, House Oversight Chairman Elijah Cummings announced plans for a contempt vote, writing:
