I've seen the defenders shrugging off these connections, saying they don't matter. I disagree. I hope parents who are legitimately pro-LGB, even if they draw the line at T, question the sources of the info they're getting on trans issues before dismissing medical consensus.
I know these groups, these parents who hold these views have decided that this is a cult, a conspiracy, a "men's rights movement," take your pick. Are ALL these organizations in on it? Do religious conservatives really know better on this?

"Bill C-16...puts children at risk & sacrifices the rights of females by allowing 'self-identification' of gender, which gives any male the right to declare himself a woman and to access women’s protected spaces."

Other recent tweets and retweets from Lisa Gilbert (twitter.com/LisaGilbertMD)—there's William J. Malone again; also note the repetition of "social contagion" and "trend" throughout all of this:
They call for "evidence-based medicine" wrt treating gender dysphoria as though current practices are not based on any evidence. Once again, here are statements from 20 different major medical organizations on treatment for gender dysphoria: transcendlegal.org/medical-organi…
The "social contagion" narrative is borne out by a single highly flawed study from 2018 by Lisa Littman. A methodological critique can be found here: link.springer.com/article/10.100…
Littman's 2018 paper was initially titled "Rapid-onset gender dysphoria in adolescents and young adults: A study of parental reports," renamed to "Parent reports of adolescents and young adults perceived to show signs of a rapid onset of gender dysphoria," which is more accurate.
One point I haven't seen brought up in methodological critiques that stands out to me, admittedly for a personal reason, is that the "adolescents and young adults" included in this study ranged from 11 to 27 years of age (avg: 16.4) when their parents took this survey about them.
Am I the only one who thinks it's strange to ask ONLY the parents to answer these types of Qs about their children who aren't just 18+ but in their 20s, up to age 27? No confirmation from adult children or any other sources wrt whether parental assessments were accurate, biased.
I want to draw attention to another critical flaw of Littman's 2018 "ROGD" study: the administration of the online survey. From Arjee Javellana Restar's methodological critique (link.springer.com/article/10.100…):
A single person could take such a survey multiple times, providing info on "children" (real, embellished, or entirely nonexistent) that was completely unverified by any therapist, clinician, or outside source. I'm not stating that this happened, only that it's possible it did.
Here's one of the original ads recruiting for Littman's survey: 4thwavenow.com/2016/07/02/rap…

"If your child has had sudden or rapid development of gender dysphoria between the ages of 10 and 21..." 🤔

How many of the "children" Littman ended up including in her paper were age 21+?
I've decided to start archiving all of these tweets to ensure I still have the info in case they're ever taken down. URLs to archives of tweets in this thread so far: pastebin.com/embed_js/efNcR…
"It's a nonpartisan, coalition-backed publication."

A look at said coalition reveals it's comprised of many of the same few players that keep coming up in all of this: Heritage, Kelsey Coalition, Parents of ROGD Kids, Walt Heyer, Michelle Cretella.

Many are hyping a new piece from the BMJ, "Gender dysphoria in children: puberty blockers study draws further criticism" (bmj.com/content/366/bm…).

Apparently a study drawing criticism is a coup de grâce against the trans agenda/scandal/trend/fad/contagion/cult/take your pick.

Special shoutout to Andrew Sullivan for committing blasphemy against Pink Floyd. Dear conservatives using this quote wrt trans kids: STOP. Just stop. It's painful.

Re-listen to "The Wall." The Teacher is the opposite of a trans-friendly SJW, ya jabronis.
Back to Dr. William J. Malone (twitter.com/will_malone), author of "No One Is Born in 'The Wrong Body'" (Quillette), retweets/is retweeted by Pamela Buffone, Lisa Marchiano, Emily Zinos, Parents of ROGD Kids, Kelsey Coalition, 4thWaveNow, Bernard Lane, Lisa Gilbert, etc.

Tweets:
Kelsey Coalition retweeted this from Transgender Trend. I guess I'm going to have to talk about detransitioners. Haven't been looking forward to this part. First, to get my opinions out of the way, I agree with these two threads:

Sorry, going to have to get back to the detransitioners later. More on the Parent Resource Guide. You must enter your first & last name, email, phone, zipcode, & how you heard about the guide to download—or go here: genderresourceguide.com/wp-content/the…
Again, here are all five groups who endorsed this "non-partisan" guide: Family Policy Alliance, Heritage Foundation, Kelsey Coalition, Parents of ROGD Kids, & WoLF.
I want to go over all of the individuals who endorsed the guide, if possible. This will take me a while.
