Yes, there will be a backlash. But far more dangerous is the "forelash" if you don't impeach, that such corruption will become normalized, that the next President will do it because, since Trump got away with it, it can't be an impeachable offensive.
If you don't impeach Trump for asking foreign leaders to criminally investigate his political opponents, then you can never in the future impeach Democrat presidents who do this.
Sure, most Democrats want to impeach Trump for the crime of being a Republican and are just looking for an excuse. They deserve a backlash for this. But at the same time, Trump's corruption is objectively corruption.

The latest XKCD is near-and-dear to my heart. It's a conversation that replays frequently in infosec/cybersecurity -- on both sides, non-techies trying to avoid security, and non-techies trying to impose security.
The Crown Sterling Affair is a great example: it's just perpetual motion cryptography. When they finally demonstrated their "invention" cracking 256-bit RSA keys it ended up doing so just as fast as everybody else cracking RSA keys -- apparently using existing code.
Computer science is littered with perpetual-motion problems, such as building your own cryptography, compressing random data, and defeating exponential complexity.

Presidents don't have records. Presidents don't run the economy. The economy runs itself. Their attempts to run the economy only makes things worse. The best that can be said about Trump's stewardship is that his bad trade policies haven't hurt us too bad.
Crediting or blaming the president is something dumb people do. But it sucks in smart people too, because when every dumb person believes a thing, it's hard for smart people to stand up and deny what 'everyone knows'.
I mean, it's easy for Trump haters to say Trump is wrong taking credit for the economy -- but then they turn around and claim it's Obama who deserves the credit for our current pleasant economic conditions.

So in regards to this thread. I had the opposite experience. I left my wallet at the barber's and went back an hour later to pick it up. In the meanwhile, their idiotic plan was to have one of the credit cards in the wallet canceled.
I'm not sure of their logic. They explained it to me, but it made no sense. "We didn't know how to contact you so we called the number on the back of the card and had it reported stolen". This makes no sense.
So then I had to call the credit card company, at which point they issued me a new credit card to replace the "stolen" one. However, this re-issued card had the same number as the old one. Which wouldn't work. Because the card was reported stolen.

Americans are once again allowing the Republican and Democrat party divide us over race, when in fact race is not the issue! Please look at the foreign policies these woman support, and the policies they do not support! This is not about race & we must address the real issues!

What was once a territory the size of the UK is now zero. That's no small accomplishment.

The #SDF lost 11,000 killed & 21,000 wounded.

we are slowly getting the ones that twitter suspended, but what about the deleted ones?
i have partial list of suspect accounts.
i know of 400+ accounts twitter did not suspended.
checking the retweets and mentions those accounts made gives me a nice list of suspect accounts.
has anyone checked the nbc data?
