Me : The belief by some that they can buy their way out of future climate change. There's nothing like a common enemy and everyone being in the same boat to create more collective action.
Me : Capitalism is a three hundred year old experiment. An economy can recover / change. Not sure the same can be said about the climate. Anyway, I'm sure others can come up with a more compromise form of reset.
Me : Whilst extremists exist arguing on a basis of climate denial or natural causes, I will take an equivalent view. Lock up and strip assets from anyone with wealth in excess of $1M. Hopefully people will find a better compromise.
Me : Whilst extremists insist on blaming the average person for climate change, I will argue for 70% wealth tax on all wealth (personal or corporate) over $1M to create a collective fund. Hopefully others will find a better compromise.
Me : It needs collective action but some individuals (especially certain corporations) are vastly more responsible than others. The "individual responsibility" is a way of absolving those culpable.
Me : Fabulous. A group of people who are willing to stand against the mindless extermination of the many for the greed and profit of a few. They deserve medals.
