The #29Leaks case revealed a Russian oligarch using an Aussie court to launder money between his entities to get it out of Australia cleanly. Now we see the UK investigating another Russian for using the same technique in US courts. #ButNothingsHappening eureporter.co/crime/money-la…
In that case $2.3M was paid into a court with a request to decide which 1 of his 2 companies should get the payment. But some of the money may have been laundered to pay for Russian mercenaries in Ukraine.
This case is different & may involve a variety of law firms & corporations as complicit in the deals.
This London-based oligarch was suing American companies using stockholder cases alleging fraud that hurt owners of the companies' stock. He was met with quick cash settlements!
This Russian is Vladimir Gusinsky who lives in London in exile from Russia. He has also resided in the US, Israel, & Spain over the years. He got rich propping up Yeltsin in exchange for media licenses in the 90s.

Apparently this shake down scam was popular in UK courts until the judges caught on to it. So they moved to Delaware!
They would pick a company that was about to be sold. Send lawyers & litigation support services teams to dig through their records for dirt. File a law suit for the stock holders & await payment to go away.
It was also used to launder dirty money as the plaintiffs would file huge bonds with the court using dirty cash that the court wouldn't check. But when the British or US Federal courts paid the bond back, it was clean, acceptable to any bank on the planet.
He was using one of his entities New Media Distribution Company too launder money to unidentified consultants & talent. Including money ear marked for banks he owed money to!
While there are claims he fled Russia because of Putin, he reportedly still has connections to Putin & Gazprom's media company. Huh, didn't know the Russian state oil company had a media company...
Their law firm, Rigrodsky & Long, looks like they only do one type of business. Filing class action law suits to shake down companies incorporated in Delaware. Often identifying their targets out of SEC filings.

This case leaves me with so many questions.

Were some of the companies complicit or just victims?

Where any "litigation research services" companies helping them? This is Fusion GPS's specialty...

Was anyone at SEC or Russian hackers with SEC access to get them access to docs?
Was anyone with the Delaware US District Court complicit in this scheme? Judges in the UK caught on, what about US judges?

Why did the non-existent computer company responsible for WH carpets remodel a judge's chambers in Delaware?
