1) We are entering a new part of the 2020 race. The poll results that came out today truly show that. This is a 2 person race, despite what the media has been saying, between Bernie and Biden. The smears haven’t worked, nor have the bogus poll weightings and now pollsters and

2) some of the stats people are being forced to decide between trying to double down on their analysis/poll shenanigans in an attempt to stubbornly continue trying to manipulate the electorate into thinking Bernie can’t win and starting to cover their own asses

3) so that if/when he does win, or at least does much much better than their previous polls have been predicting, they aren’t thoroughly discredited.

to put it another way, it’s almost 2020, and they don’t want people looking back and seeing that their polls were pure garbage

4) some of Bernies worst pollsters just put out new numbers, and while the headline for one is still a joke, the actual numbers are night and day. IBD is a joke pollster essentially run by people in the financial business who want Bernie to lose at all costs. Their press release

5) is still absolute garbage as they claim trump is now beating everyone but biden, which is absurd, and quickly glosses over the fact Bernie is up 5 from their previous poll While Biden is down 3. But the fact that a pollster, shameless enough to claim the following.

6) is now forced to shift their Dem primary numbers because unlike the General election where they are still talking out their ass with their supposed numbers, the Dem primary is only a few months away And they don’t want to be embarassed when the actual votes come in

7) and we have another pollster with a history of publishing very negative data on progressives, they were the poll many months ago that CNN used Nonstop to try to smear Medicare4All, suddenly has Bernie and Biden just 2 points apart

8) suddenly it also has Bernie at 29% and leading Biden by 3% with non-white voters, Warren btw us all the way down at 13%. It even has Bernie leading his closer competitor by nearly 20% points with those under 45.

9) And if Bernie is really 23 points up on Biden with the under 45 vote, then this poll is still weighted a bit on the old side in order to have Biden still in the lead.

10) at this point even the Economist, and Suffolk/USA Today whenever they next do a poll as it’s been 2 months, have to be getting embarrassed by having results that show them as complete hacks polling a different electorate than everyone else.

11) Taking out the Economist, RCP, which doesn’t even count Reuters shows this as a 2 person race nationally with Pete and Warren no where to be found.

their average without the Economist would now be:

Bernie: 20%
Warren: 15.3%
Pete: 9.2 %

12) If I add in Reuters, Warren would plummet even farther as they have her at 9% and Pete at 6%.

the point being, despite the media trying to claim Warren is just “plateauing” and Pete has all the momentum, it’s a 2 person race nationally.

14) What this means, is that you can expect the smears to start amping you again as they started last week, but the Bernie blackout is probably going to diminish and in its place will just be a lot of negative coverage that we will have to push back against

15) Also I said this elsewhere but not directly in this thread, msnbc will be the last place that accepts the new narrative. They were the ones who tried to claim Kamala had a good second debate and that Warren had a bad 3rd debate when no one else agreed

16) and it took them a few days to look around and see themselves alone on an island with none of their buddies at CNN or The NY Times or even WaPo agreeing with them, and then they shifted to what everyone else was saying. This will be no different
