The @Uppolice arrested @sadafjafar on Dec. 19. She posted three Facebook lives from a protest site. Throughout her videos, she makes it clear that the protesters were women and young children. The arson and violence was being carried out by hired rioters.

She's nowhere near the protests, she's asking the media to show the faces of the rioters, and yet she's arrested, her family not informed. Her whereabouts have remained unknown for two days now. Her young children are alone and scared. #WhereIsSadaf @myogiadityanath?

Sadaf is one of the most strongest women I know. She's a humanitarian, she doesn't stay silent in the face of injustices. She is an insipration to every one of us. We do not need people like her to be silenced. We need them to continue to lead the fight. #WhereIsSadaf

सदफ ज़ाफर को लखनऊ पुलिस ने 19 दिसम्बर को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है. वे प्रदर्शन स्थल से फेसबुक लाइव प्रसारण कर रही थी. अपने वीडियो में वे ये दिखा रही थी कि वहाँ प्रदर्शंकारी महिलाएँ और बच्चे थे, और आगजनी और हिंसा संदिग्ध, बाहर से भेजे गए लोगो द्वारा

फैलाई जा रही थी. वह टकराव से दूर रहते हुए ही मीडिया से गुहार लगा रही थी कि हिंसा फैलाने वालो का चेहरा दिखाए. इसी बात पर उन्हे गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है, उनके परिवार को सूचना नहीं दी गई. उनके बच्चे अकेले और डरे हुए हैं. सदफ मेरे परिचितो में सबसे बहादुर महिलाओ में से हैं.

मानवतावादी हैं, अन्याय के खिलाफ चुप नहीं रहती, हम सबके लिये प्रेरनास्रोत हैं. हम उन जैसे लोगो को खामोश करने की साजिश को कामयाब नहीं होने दे सकते, बल्कि उनके संघर्ष को आगे बढाने की जरूरत है. आप सभी ये पूछेँ कि #WhereIsSadaf और उन्हे जल्द से जल्द रिहा करने की मांग करे.

Update: Relatives were allowed to meet Sadaf today. So we know where she is. I will post more updates later. For now let me just say : the fight is not over. So keep sharing this so we can keep up the pressure till she is released...she is beaten but not broken. Let that sink in

Update2: Sadaf was brutally beaten by the police, reportedly by a male police officer. She was beaten with a baton, kicked in her belly. She is bleeding internally and needs medical attention immediately. Raise your voice for her release. Retweet with #ReleaseSadafJafar
