@tom_watson I know it's only Twitter but crikey some people really *hate* the Jewish Labour Movement, until a couple of years ago an entirely welcome part of the Labour movement established for 100 years, now despised and blamed. Talk about transference!

What's the point, really? I mean, sure there are lots of people who aren't like that but the algorithm just loves the angry and outraged ones. And you can never win against the algorithm unless you get angry and outraged

I shouldn’t be morose. In 2009 I was an idealistic pupil barrister hoping to get into human rights law and make the world a slightly better place. In 2019 I have managed the first bit and despite what the haters say I think I have been net positive on the second!

The saddest part of this is that because of the Labour Party’s institutional embrace of antisemitism, the membership are unlikely to vote for anyone who has taken a real stand on this issue. Go figure.
I’m not sure who I will vote for, if I have a vote. But I may have to vote expediently (eg Keir Starmer, centre left, who was in the shadow cabinet so may have the confidence of enough members) rather than a cleaner break such as Nandy or Phillips who are unlikely to get support

Or issues raised to him by email AND post about Tim Dexter the latest whistleblower

Recorded delivery signatures were obtained by the sender
A large amount of proof of harassment by LAAS & also complaints about the latest whistleblower Tim Dexter, was sent to Tom Watson & the EHRC in April.

Below is confirmation of proof of delivery to Tom Watson's office.

Why hasn't he responded to the complainer or mentioned this?
Labour's complaints department Officer Tom Dexter dealt with some fairly serious complaints about LAAS bullying but didn't even think it was worth investigating.

Tim left Labour just after Tom Watson received a bulk delivery of documents showing Tim's inaction.

Recently Ellie Reeves #Labour MP was reportedly facing a vote of "No Confidence" and "Deselection" @elliereeves received a lot of support from Jess Phillips, Tom Watson etc. No motion was tabled with her CLP so the furore over a pregnant Labour MP being deselected was nonsense.
So let us move on about 1 week from this bogus story to the equally spurious #PanoramaHatchetJob about #Labour and #Antisemitism The usual suspects showed their sham horror of the apparent problems in Labour. #TomWatson #jessphillips
Tom Watson belittled, harangued, bullied and called into question the reliability and fitness of @JennieGenSec to act as General Secretary. Some might question my point on reliability etc. But the image I have attached which Watson and Phillips promote does exactly that.

I just realized a so called "resistor" blocked me this week because I pushed back on her oversized claims on the influence religion had on the abolition movement.
To be clear Christianity was at the heart of many white abolitionists and black abolitionists often gained support through showing themselves as good Christians. HOWEVER this narrative simplifies and erases a complicated understanding of the activism /2
For one thing black abolitionists didn't need religion to tell them that slavery was wrong. It simply provided the language to to help convince white abolitionists. Therefore the narrative that focuses on the Christian influence in the abolition movement centers white activism /3
