A thread looking back on some of the things
the @RemainerNow campaign did beyond our social media platforms in 2019. We may have failed in our battle for a
#FinalSay to #StopBrexit but we did our best and it was made possible by many
of you who supported us in many ways.

1/32
In January, just before the first vote on1May’s Withdrawal Agreement, we set up our third #RemainerNow goes to parliament event to meet cross party MPs (previous in April and October 2018). Here was @ChrisOram1990 just before we went
in.

2/32
We spent a good couple of hours with various MPs at different times. Here was the gang with @Anna_Soubry at the end.
(although the tweet below wrongly says Dan Carden was there instead of @darrenpjones ). Thanks to all who supported

3/32
An AFP journalist, @EdouardGuihaire, did an article on the #RemainerNow goes to parliament event and our
movement. It appeared in German, French and Spainish press and on Yahoo. You can read it here.

4/32
In January we also set up #RemainerNow @JamesMellor22 with the #PeoplesVote campaign and that led to @EuanFilm producing this great video that went out on all their channels to show it was not just remain voters wanting a #FinalSay

5/32
Also in January we helped set up longtime vocal #RemainerNow @MrsEmmaJK up with BBC 5 Live to talk about her change of mind, we then followed that with her going on #VictoriaLive in March, she clearly made her #RemainerNow case. Watch it here.

6/32
We also had a big active presence at & in the build up to the big million strong #PutItToThePeople March in March. In advance some #RemainerNow guys helped us put together a short video about being there. Thanks for those who donated towards travel

7/32
We commissioned both a @RemainerNow flag and placards to try and be as visible as possible during the #PutItToThePeople March and make it clear it was not just those who voted remain that wanted a
#FinalSay, here are some pics others sent us.

8/32
A couple of #RemainerNow guys also spoke at an after event held by @no10vigil following the march, this was Daniel’s speech.

9/32
At the end of March @victoriaremain1 quit her job with the help of some of the crowdfunded money, was able to act as a behind the scenes campaign manage to organize many of the events etc that are mentioned below. Thanks to everyone who donated & made this possible.

10/32
In April (working with @campbellclaret) we set up 6 #RemainerNow guys to tell their stories at a big televised
#PeoplesVote Rally, you can see them here in the front row with @ClaireTromans talking to Konnie Huq about her #RemainerNow journey.

11/32
After Konnie speaking to Claire @mrjamesob spoke to the other #RemainerNow there and here he was the next day saying how powerful it was.

12/32
In the Spring we started working with @ellemayhobson who gave time for free but crowdfund covered expenses. She made many great story videos over a 5 month period focusing on #RemainerNow journeys. This 1 with Duncan was the first one we released.

13/32
This video with @Andymartin1175 was the last one she produced and published, thanks again to @ellemayhobson for her work & time &
those that helped donate to cover her expenses.
These voices would have been crucial if we had achieved a #FinalSay.

14/32
In June, @victoriaremain1 & #RemainerNow @Dan4Huntington ran a small stall at @theGreenParty spring conference in Scarborough & publicised the campaign & handed out also flyers with #RemainerNow stories. Crowdfund money helped achieve this.

15/32
Throughout the summer we worked with
organisers of various marches rallies to get #RemainerNow speakers. In Leeds 3 Yorkshire based #RemainerNow @dodd_lisaadodd , @jamesmellor22 and @leon_Sfrench01 all spoke giving their stories.
Here is Leon's

16/32
In July we set up #RemainerNow @mcDarke and @Snoozette1 to speak @march_change . They were excellent and you can watch them here (Ayo also spoke at a later London rally).

17/32
In August we worked with @Devon4Europe to get @richardhoskins on stage at their rally against prorogation. If you want to watch his speech its here.

18/32
In September we liaised with @ElyforEurope & @Dan4Huntingdon spoke at one of their rallies and gave a really emotive and personal speech about his change of mind. If you want to watch it is here.

19/32
In September, thanks to crowdfund support we had a 4 day stand at the Lib Dem conference.

This was great to meet both activists but also parliamentarians to raise awareness. This thread gives a flavour of our interactions with the latter.

20/32
Whilst in Bournemouth also worked with @Dorset4E to hold our first #RemainerNow specific public event, with a mix of green and lib dem politicians and #RemainerNow speakers. If you have 2 hours to kill you can listen to it is as a podcast here:

audioboom.com/posts/7378325-…

21/32
We also went down to Brighton during the labour conference. We held an off campus event like we did in Bournemouth and also produced this leaflet to hand out to delegates in the area. Again thanks to those that helped with the crowdfund.

22/32
In September we started working with @ByDonkeys and they met several #RemainerNow for future projects. Not sure what will happen now but In October they did manage to bring this #RemainerNow video out with @dodd_lisaadodd powerful words.

23/32
In September and October we got #RemainerNow @mcdarke on #VictoriaLive. He was great you can watch both these clips here:

24/32
In October (as BoJo was agreeing the brexit deal T May rejected)) thanks to generous crowdfund support we took 13 #Remainernow to Brussels to go to parliament, which included a 2 hour plenary with cross party MEPs both from UK and elsewhere.

25/32
Whilst there several #RemainerNow also met up with Brussels based anti-brexit activists and @mcdarke @SimRiyat @EmmaJaneManley1 & @damidude appeared with @ottocrat @CakeWatchCast, and the relevant segment is here.

26/32
Shortly before the Brussels trip we also were featured in a much read article in @standardnews about the campaign and with many #RemainerNow sharing their stories. This gave a noticeable uptick in our following across channels.

standard.co.uk/news/politics/…

27/32
Also in October, one of our vocal #RemainerNow @MinxyMissK appeared on BBC Look East talking about her journey from leave to remain. Again feature like this would have been crucial if we got a #finalsay.

28/32
We also had a big #RemainerNow presence at the #PeoplesVoteMarch in October and we were in Westmister Square when the Letwin amendment passed. Here is a thread of pictures from our day there.

29/32
One of those in our group was @PaulineHardman2 (a 2016 abstainer), she had produced this powerful video before the march, it was released before but also was played on the big screen whilst there. So sorry we did not get her a #FinalSay.

30/32
This list is not exhaustive.

We published loads of #RemainerNow articles here @PMPmagToday vip.politicsmeanspolitics.com/author/remaine…

and so many clips we extracted from vox pos and radio phone ins etc that are on our YouTube youtube.com/channel/UCRhT4…

I will have missed others.

31/32
So the point of this thread is basically to say thanks to all who supported the campaign in many ways, we may have not succeeded, but whatever 2020 brings we know we blooming well tried to change the UK's course.

We will update soon on how we will #HoldThemToAccount.
